SermonSpeaker Update 6 to 7 Help

I updated our church's website to Joomla 6.0.1 today.  I tried updating SermonSpeaker to 7 and got an error message so not all of the parts were up dated, I went back and updated the last couple.  In the list of extensions, the package was still 6, all the other components were 7.  I couldn't get our "Sermon Podcast" page to come up.  I tried updating the 6 package with the package 7 file from the website but got a red screen with  a 500 error.  I went back into the list of extensions and finally uninstalled the V6 package, tried the V7 package again but got the red screen again.  Our Sermon Podcast page still won't load but the backend SermonSpeaker options seem to work, I don't know if it is fully installed or not or if it will actually play a file.  It seems with all of this, our list of sermons and everything is now gone.  How do I get them back in the list?  There were over 1,100 of them.  The Version 7 package doesn't seem to want to install, I guess it's okay to leave it out since all of the other modules installed okay?

If you uninstalled the SermonSpeaker package or component, then it also deleted all the database tables that come with SermonSpeaker and thus, all your sermon entries. You still have the files as those are not touched by the uninstall.
I'm afraid you either need to restore from a backup or recreate the entries (the automatic generation may be helpful, but may fail with that many sermons).
So for the future, never uninstall any component if you still need the data from that component.

As for the error, I would have to see the actual error message. An error 500 means "internal server error" which usually means some PHP code is faulty. Those errors can be show if you enable error reporting / debugging in the Joomla configuration, or you can see them in the server error log files. Those point to the actual line of code that generated the error.

I see.I'll have to figure out how to do a full restoration, I've never had to do that before.

I've attached the reporting of the 500 error when I try to upload the v7 package file.

Thanks, the error message helps me to figure out where it comes from. I need to do some testing but I think that may be a bug in the Joomla updater. I'll have to find a way to reproduce it.

If you have Akeeba Backup and did a backup prior to the Joomla update (as recommended), then you can use their Akeeba Kickstart to restore the backup on any webserver. I'd recommend to restore it on a test server (eg a wampserver on your local windows machine). You could then just copy the SermonSpeaker database tables to your live site and it should work. There were no database changes between SermonSpeaker 6 and 7.
If your hoster does automatic backups, you can also ask them for a restore.

I had downloaded a full backup in mid November 28GB. I'm uploading that back to the server to see if that fixes it.

I have exported the:
rw5v9_sermon_series
rw5v9_sermon_sermons
rw5v9_sermon_speakers

Should I wait until the V7 package is sorted out? Or is it okay to try to import these .sql files into my live database?

I'm not sure if the extension is installed correctly or not since my podcast page was unreachable and I got so many errors when I tried to update it.
