Support for SermonSpeaker 5.x is in bugfix mode only, the same as it is for Joomla 3.10.
I will not add any new features to this releases.
Please upgrade to SermonSpeaker 6.x and Joomla 4.x, which is better anyway.

Ok, after some tests I have changed ID3 tag from ID3v2.4 (UTF8) to ID3v2.3 (UTF16) and now Sermon Speaker imports correct "date" from mp3.
And Non latin characters are OK too (even after tool "write ID3 tags" - if there was mp3 with ID3v2.4 (UTF8), there was wrong letters for non latin letters in the author and series - in blue info box over sermon details - after click on "magic wand"). If mp3 is saved as "ID3v2.3 (UTF16)" non latin characters and date are imported correctly.

Also S.Speaker saves ID3 tags in mp3 as ID3v2.3

I honestly don't know how good the getid3 library I use work with v2.4 ones. They recommend to use v2.3.
