Protostar template shows the same problem.

Which window? The modal window that opens when you click on the speaker name? Of course you can disable that. It's the third parameter you see when you open the SermonSpeaker options, called "Speaker Popup".

This modal window opens without any click, but by hover... Menu item is set as Series List. Layout Tiles.
I cannot disable it. Parameter of "Speaker Popup" is set to NO.

The thing that opens on hover would be called Tooltip, and those can't be disabled indeed. But you can specify what should be shown in the tooltip by checking the boxes in the "columns" tab.
However I saw now that the tiles layout package I used on SermonSpeaker.net was a bit outdated and I see now maybe what you mean. There is some bug in that tooltip which I need to fix.
