Support for SermonSpeaker 5.x is in bugfix mode only, the same as it is for Joomla 3.10.
I will not add any new features to this releases.
Please upgrade to SermonSpeaker 6.x and Joomla 4.x, which is better anyway.

After testing a bit more, it looks like the error message actually is accurate. The PixelOut player needs the Flash player installed and enabled. By default, Flash is usually disabled nowadays and support is vanishing.
The player works on the sermon detailpage because it has a HTMl5 fallback which kicks in there.

So the PixelOut player is not a good player anymore to use due to it's dependancy on Flash.
