Support for SermonSpeaker 5.x is in bugfix mode only, the same as it is for Joomla 3.10.
I will not add any new features to this releases.
Please upgrade to SermonSpeaker 6.x and Joomla 4.x, which is better anyway.

That is strange. I only get a black square when using Firefox. See attached.

Indeed, now it doesn't show in Firefox here as well.

That being said, it looks like you use the integrated player from SermonSpeaker which is deprecated and outdated and shouldn't be used.
Please set the player parameter to "- Use Plugin -" and make sure you have a player plugin enabled (eg the MediaPlayer.js one).
