Support for SermonSpeaker 5.x is in bugfix mode only, the same as it is for Joomla 3.10.
I will not add any new features to this releases.
Please upgrade to SermonSpeaker 6.x and Joomla 4.x, which is better anyway.

Sermon Upload Module turns underscores to hyphens

Dear Thomas,

I am using Sermon Upload Module but find that it turns underscores in filenames to hyphens, and capital letters to small letters. Are they problems or something you did on purpose?
Also, would you tell me how can I twist the module to put uploaded files at a folder other than the set paths at Sermon Speaker global configuration?
Thank you.

Ken

It's done by the component, not the module, so the same behaviour you get if you upload it using the sermon form.
I did that on purpose to make sure the filenames are safe to use in an URL and JavaScript.
It uses a Joomla method to do that. See github.com/Bakual/SermonSpeaker/blob/mas...rs/file.json.php#L80 .

Where the file is stored is also decided by the component. The module has no business there.

If you need a generic upload module, you should look at another solution.
