Support for SermonSpeaker 5.x is in bugfix mode only, the same as it is for Joomla 3.10.
I will not add any new features to this releases.
Please upgrade to SermonSpeaker 6.x and Joomla 4.x, which is better anyway.

Dear Thomas,
I come up with a player package "Sound Manager 2" at www.schillmania.com/projects/soundmanager2/
It is quite attractive to me that it plays nicely on desktop and iOS and Android devices with its Javascript and Flash combination.
What would be your advice if I want to incorporate this player in Sermon Speaker?

You would have to create your own player plugin.
You can have a look at any of the existing ones to get a feeling how it works.
