Support for SermonSpeaker 5.x is in bugfix mode only, the same as it is for Joomla 3.10.
I will not add any new features to this releases.
Please upgrade to SermonSpeaker 6.x and Joomla 4.x, which is better anyway.

Front End Upload issue was created by James Rose
When saving from the front end upload I get a 404 error.

although it saves the sermon OK, the scripture does not save

When the file is uploaded I get a warning
Error loading module Got error -1 from storage engine SQL=SELECT m.id, m.title, m.module, m.position, m.content, m.showtitle, m.params, mm.menuid FROM yqgq_modules AS m LEFT JOIN yqgq_modules_menu AS mm ON mm.moduleid = m.id LEFT JOIN yqgq_extensions AS e ON e.element = m.module AND e.client_id = m.client_id WHERE m.published = 1 AND e.enabled = 1 AND (m.publish_up = '0000-00-00 00:00:00' OR m.publish_up <= '2015-06-15 20:52:17') AND (m.publish_down = '0000-00-00 00:00:00' OR m.publish_down >= '2015-06-15 20:52:17') AND m.access IN (1,1,2,3) AND m.client_id = 0 AND (mm.menuid = 341 OR mm.menuid <= 0) ORDER BY m.position, m.ordering

Creating a sermon fronm the backend works fine (including scritpure link)

To ensure I am using the latest of everything, I upgraded to Joomla 3.4.1
SermonSpeaker 5.4.1

That query sure isn't coming from SermonSpeaker itself. It seems to check which modules should be shown.
My first suspect would be that you have an advanced module manager installed or something else which does some funny thing with modules. Maybe also the template does something there.
