Support for SermonSpeaker 5.x is in bugfix mode only, the same as it is for Joomla 3.10.
I will not add any new features to this releases.
Please upgrade to SermonSpeaker 6.x and Joomla 4.x, which is better anyway.

OK,
I installed SermonSpeaker, and it is published. I added a folder to the site directory ('audio') and pointed the path field for audio files to it. It seems to be finding the files, because it is automatically filling-in the "length" field for sermons, and is extracting the speaker's name from the tags associated with the file. I go over to my actual site url, and I see the layout of the new sermon added, length, date, etc. BUT, when I try to either play it with the mp3 player, it won't play. If I try to use the download link, it says it can't find it.
What have I done wrong? I worked on it for about 2 hours last night to no avail. I'd love to get this working and understand how to troubleshoot it better, because this is exactly the type extension I need for what I'm doing on my site.
Note on the screenshot, next to audiofile, there are two fields. Not sure why there are two. It seems like it should have an "upload" or "browse" button, so I can point to the file. As it is, I just use ftp to upload the mp3 files to the created audio folder.
Help!

If you can give me the URL of your site, I can have a closer look.
Till then check the SermonSpeaker setting. Especially modes and uploader settings
Also try what happens if you use lowercase filenames.

Is this the URL of your Joomla site where you have SermonSpeaker installed? Because either it isn't, or you have some special SEF component or other server rewrite rules installed.
The errors you see are strange. One is shown when the database query failed for some reason. You may get more information here if you enable debugging and set error reporting level to development or maximum in the Joomla global configuration.
The "ressource not found" means that for some reason the file couldn't be found or isn't accessible from the web. You can test that by entering the file manually into the addressbar of your browser and see if that works.
