Support for SermonSpeaker 4.x is canceled as it is for Joomla 2.5. I will gladly assist you with minor issues but I will not fix any bugs anymore in this releases.
The fix is to upgrade to SermonSpeaker 5.x and Joomla 3.x, which is better anyway.

Thanks for your help with this. I've added the line, but it doesn't seem to have made any difference. I've cleared the cache, just in case the old version was cached but it seems that wasn't the issue either.

Would it help if I gave you temporary access to the front end upload facility? The prod site isn't live yet.

Just to update this thread: We figured out the problem and it was due to a custom change in the beez template which broke javascript code in general. It wasn't directly related to SermonSpeaker.
