Support for SermonSpeaker 4.x is canceled as it is for Joomla 2.5. I will gladly assist you with minor issues but I will not fix any bugs anymore in this releases.
The fix is to upgrade to SermonSpeaker 5.x and Joomla 3.x, which is better anyway.

I would like to not have the Sub Categories list show up on my front page where all of my Series are. I can't figure out which option to turn off. It's showing Sub Categories (Uncategorized) Item count 4. southsidealliance.org/ssamedia/archive. If you could tell me how to fix that'd be great thanks.

In the SermonSpeaker options in the Category tab you can set how many levels of subcategories you want to show. Setting it to "none" will not show any.

This is a global setting which affects every view of SermonSpeaker (except the categories view).
