Support for SermonSpeaker 4.x is canceled as it is for Joomla 2.5. I will gladly assist you with minor issues but I will not fix any bugs anymore in this releases.
The fix is to upgrade to SermonSpeaker 5.x and Joomla 3.x, which is better anyway.

I would like to know if there is a way to avoid modules like latest sermon to appear in the Sermon View.

In Joomla, the appearance of modules is controlled based on menu items. In the module settings you can choose for which menu entries the module should be visible or not. So you could set it to hide for the sermon entry. But you can't hide it for a specific view, it all depends on the active menu entry.

If you're familiar with PHP you can of course edit the source code of the module to include a check against a specific view, but that's not something I will include as it's against the way Joomla works.
