What constitutes a "hit" in the statistics was created by G Douglas Shiell

I assume that a hit is registered when a user selects a particular sermon, but does a podcast download constitute a "hit"?

Since a podcast links directly to a file, there is no way Joomla or SermonSpeaker can detect a hit. You need to ask your Apache server logs for that.

The hitcount in SermonSpeaker are pageviews for the sermon detailpage.
