Lay-out order columns was created by Ben
I made my own layout (copying some tableformat from the internet) and implemented it in media/sermonspeaker.css. But with every update it messes up. I know I have to do it otherwise. But after one update (I don't remember which one) It didn't help to change the order in css and the date shows up after the speaker. I want the date at the beginning before the title.
Below the link with the date at the wrong place.
www.debazuin.info/mp3-preken/sermons.html
Could you tell me where (in which file) to change the column order?
Is it in the sermons view? Perhaps I did that in the past but I forgot.

Thanks a lot,
Ben

Hi Ben

There is some documentation about layouting here: www.sermonspeaker.net/documentation/layouting.html

Generally speaking, it's not save to change files shipped with SermonSpeaker. These will be overwritten with the next update almost certainly.

However Joomla and SermonSpeaker offer various ways to override stuff on template level. You can read more about this on the Joomla docs pages: docs.joomla.org/How_to_override_the_outp...rom_the_Joomla!_core
Or you can create your own layout like described in the layouting documentation and implement an own CSS file there.

In your own layout file, you can change the order of any column to the way you like. You're also free in what CSS you need.

I have now copied table.php and table.xml.
I renamed table to tablebazuin.php and table.xml to tablebazuin.xml
In tablebazuin.php I placed ss date before ss title in two places.
In tablebazuin.xml I replaced title by tablebazuin
Now I see in options tablebazuin but when I choose this sermons layout nothing changes and I got the same as with table?

What have I done wrong?

Check the menu item as well. The global settings may be overriden there.

To test the layout, you can also use the URL parameter "?layout=tablebazuin". Like this:
www.debazuin.info/mp3-preken/sermons.html?layout=tablebazuin .

Well, thanks a lot. The link to test gave the right layout.
I checked the menu-item and changed it also to tablebazuin and yes the right layout popped up.
I have learned again some things...

This topic can be closed now but I don't know if I have to do something to close it.

Thanks again for your quick and wonderful advice.

There is no "close" function in this forum. So don't search for it :-)
