Support for SermonSpeaker 4.x is canceled as it is for Joomla 2.5. I will gladly assist you with minor issues but I will not fix any bugs anymore in this releases.
The fix is to upgrade to SermonSpeaker 5.x and Joomla 3.x, which is better anyway.

Can the width of the columns be set? I would like the Title of the Sermon to have a wider column.

This can be done in the SermonSpeaker css file:
/components/com_sermonspeaker/sermonspeaker.css

The class in question is "ss-title" and is set to 20%. Just change as needed.
"ss-num" would be the number of the sermon and "ss-col" all other columns.

I'm not finding the sermonspeaker.css file in that directory. I only find sermonspeaker.php

Where else can I look? I, too, would like to change the column width.

Ouch, my fault.
The path was valid in SermonSpeaker 3.4. I've changed it for SermonSpeaker 4.1. It's now in the /media/com_sermonspeaker/css directory.

Sorry for the confusion.

Is there a way to prevent having to edit the "ss-title" item in the css file every time there is an update to SermonSpeaker? It's a minor inconvenience, but it would be nice if it were avoidable.
