Support for SermonSpeaker 5.x is in bugfix mode only, the same as it is for Joomla 3.10.
I will not add any new features to this releases.
Please upgrade to SermonSpeaker 6.x and Joomla 4.x, which is better anyway.

Hi Thomas - back again with another small query (hopefully), I've hunted everywhere to see if there was a way to change how many sermons are shown when people land on the page as it seems if you're unaware, you may think there are only 10 or 20 or whatever is in the Default number and once that's set it stays until you change it again? (It shows 15 for me in one browser and All in the other. )

Also would it be possible to point me in the right direction for where I could insert some text onto that landing page - so that I could direct visitors to check out such things if they're also unsure etc?

Bloomfield Methodist Services

Thanks, Romayne :)

The number of sermons shown is stored in the current session. Which means if you change the value, it will stay on that value until you close your browser (which usually clears the session).

However you should check the SermonSpeaker settings. In the global tab there is a parameter "Pagination". Switch that to "Auto" and there will be a pagination below the list which allows the visitors to go to further pages.

As for the landing page, the simplest thing is if you're template has a module position above the component. Then you can put a custom module into that position which only shows on that specific menuitem.
Or you can create a template override for the layout (you can do that in the template manager) and add your information there.

Thomas - you're a GEM - thank you SO much for your constant work on helping duffers like me figure things out :) !! I'm always amazed and grateful for it as many other similar (Christian) forums relating to certain extensions can leave me pulling my hair out at their lack of help etc. Donation duly provided :) Blessings.
