Support for SermonSpeaker 4.x is canceled as it is for Joomla 2.5. I will gladly assist you with minor issues but I will not fix any bugs anymore in this releases.
The fix is to upgrade to SermonSpeaker 5.x and Joomla 3.x, which is better anyway.

Hi there ... we're using Sermon Speaker to hold a collection of audio files of songs, prayers, etc. I think some of my users will be confused with the word Sermon so i'd like to change it to Recordings. Is that possible?

We're using v4.3.0.

There are two ways to do that. One is explained in the FAQ here: www.sermonspeaker.net/faq/5-how-do-i-cha...enter-word-here.html

The simpler way is to use the language override tool of Joomla. See Docs: docs.joomla.org/J2.5:Language_Overrides_in_Joomla

On a sidenote, you're using a real old version there. If you're using Joomla 2.5 (which will be end of life this year), you should upgrade to SermonSpeaker 4.5.8.

Try using melody component it's tailored specifically for songs, poems and so on.
