Support for SermonSpeaker 3.x is canceled as it is for Joomla 1.5. I will gladly assist you with minor issues but I will not fix any bugs anymore in this releases.
The fix is to upgrade to SermonSpeaker 4.x, which is better anyway.

Sermoncast 3.4.3 feeds are downloading index.php

Apologies for the relatively dated question, but I've got a site that is mostly happy with Joomla1.5.

Anyway, I upgraded to 3.4.3 recently and things work mostly well.

However, two issues:

1. When I click on the 'Full Feed' link of sermoncast, the browser tries to download index.php instead of executing it. In my case, it tries to launch a view for php files (eclipse for me). If I look at the downloaded content, it appears to be a valid RSS2.0 xml.

Why is this downloading index.php instead of saving it?
My Full Feed Link

2. How do I get sermon speaker / sermoncast to recreate the RSS feed? Mine is coming up blank. When I add a new file it appears, but I would like to get some of the existing sermons included in the feed.

Thanks for any help,
Eric

The feed is broken because it has a linebreak before the <?XML ... > stuff.
Usually this linebreak is caused by a bad programmed system or content plugin. You can try to disable all non-core system and content plugins and see if it works. If it does you can enable the plugins again one by one and see which will break the feed.
If you have the culprit, you can tell me. Maybe I can fix it for you.

Thanks Thomas.
I quickly found the conflicting plug-in and removed it from my system.
Fortunately it was an old google maps plugin that I was not even using.
Problem solved.
